This privacy policy is intended to inform Wallie's customers and potential customers how their data will be processed, so please read this document in full.

1. OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

  • Comply with the obligations inherent in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) , and other applicable legislation, including national legislation that complements the GDPR;
  • Provide adequate mechanisms for exercising the rights of personal data subjects;
  • Apply the principles of transparency regarding the form and type of personal data we process;
  • Ensure that subcontractors who process your personal data on behalf of LIPOR act with the same level of confidentiality and security.

2. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COLLECTING AND PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA?

Wallie is a LIPOR product, and LIPOR, Associação de Municípios para a Gestão Sustentável de Resíduos do Grande Porto, is the entity responsible for processing the personal data of Wallie customers or potential customers and has its headquarters at Rua da Morena, 805-955, 4435-746 Baguim do Monte with the legal person identification number 501394192, hereinafter identified as “LIPOR”.

3. WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data means any information of any nature and regardless of its medium, including sound and image, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject").

4. HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We collect personal data provided directly by you, for example when you browse www.wallie.com.pt, contact us by telephone, letter or e-mail (e.g. info@wallie.com.pt).

5. WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES AND GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA?

The data will be processed in the course of and in accordance with the contacts you have with Wallie , such as browsing the website www.wallie.com.pt, registering for workshops, subscribing to the LIPOR newsletter, taking part in competitions or other brand activation activities or managing contact requests for information via the e-mail info@wallie.com.pt or registering suggestions or complaints via the e-mail centroreclamacoes@lipor.pt.

We will ask for your consent to collect data for the purpose of developing direct marketing actions, sending information about Wallie, our products, campaigns and sending information about the launch of news, initiatives or advantages, either by text message or email.

In addition, the data will be used for the purpose of complying with legal obligations or for the pursuit of the legitimate interests of LIPOR as data controller, such as:

  • Management of requests for information, clarifications, contacts via info@wallie.com.pt
  • Satisfaction evaluation survey;
  • Management of suggestions, complaints and compliments;
  • Management of our website.

6. WHAT TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA DOES LIPOR PROCESS?

LIPOR collects and processes the personal data necessary to fulfill the purposes for processing your personal data, which may include, for example:

Customer data: full name and email address;

Contact details: Full address, e-mail, telephone;

7. IMAGE DATA

For activities whose processing involves the collection and use/dissemination of images (photo, video and/or testimonial) that allow you to be identified, we always ask for your prior consent.

8. PERSONAL DATA OF MINORS

The personal data of minors, the collection and processing of which does not derive from a legal basis or from the exercise of public interest/public authority functions, will only be collected and processed with the express consent of the legal representatives. Legal representatives have the prerogative to exercise their rights over the personal data of minors under similar conditions to those of data subjects.

9. HOW LONG WILL YOUR PERSONAL DATA BE KEPT?

The period for which data is stored and kept varies according to the purpose for which the information is processed. Whenever there is no specific legal requirement, the data will only be stored and kept for the minimum period necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or further processed, after which it will be deleted.

However, if personal data is processed for archiving purposes in the public interest, for scientific or historical research purposes, or for statistical purposes, LIPOR may keep some of the data for longer periods, without prejudice to applying the appropriate guarantees for the rights and freedoms of the data subject, under the terms of the legislation in force.

In order to determine the appropriate retention period, LIPOR takes into account the various resolutions of the European data protection supervisory authorities, in particular the CNPD, and the Archival Regulation for Local Authorities.

10. WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH?

Wallie will not transfer or share your data with third parties, except in cases where this is necessary to comply with legal obligations.

Personal data may also be transferred to third parties that provide us with support services, such as technology service providers, or send marketing communications.

Whenever it proves necessary to process some of your personal data in the context of such services, it is guaranteed that a contract or agreement is signed that guarantees compliance with the general data protection regulation and the obligation to ensure the same level of security and privacy of your data.

11. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

LIPOR ensures and incorporates in all its processes a set of information security measures, technical and administrative measures and procedures aimed at preserving the onfidentiality, integrity and availability of the personal data processed.

Confidentiality: We guarantee that the information is accessible only by authorized persons, for as long as necessary;

Availability: We ensure that information is available to authorized persons whenever necessary;

Integrity: We guarantee that the information is complete and intact and that it has not been modified or destroyed in an unauthorized or accidental way during its life cycle.

Among others, we highlight the following measures:

  • Restricted access to your personal data only by those who need it for the purposes set out above;
  • Only store and transfer personal data securely;
  • Protection of information systems through devices that prevent unauthorized access to your personal data;
  • Implementation of mechanisms that guarantee the integrity and quality of your personal data;
  • Monitoring of information systems in order to prevent, detect and stop the misuse of your personal data.

Personal data subjects have the following rights:

  • Right to Information (Article 13 and 14 of the GDPR) - Information on how they use my data;
  • Right to Access (Art. 15 GDPR) - What personal data is being processed;
  • Right to Rectification (art. 16, GDPR - If I need to change (outdated or incomplete data) or correct (inaccurate data) my personal data;
  • Right to Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) "Right to be forgotten" - If I want my data erased (if the law or the contract allows it);
  • Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18 GDPR) - When I wish to restrict the way in which my personal data is used while LIPOR corrects or provides information about that data.
  • Right to Portability (Art. 20 GDPR) - If I wish to receive my personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or if I wish to pass it on to another party;
  • Right to not be subject to Automated Individual Decisions (Art. 22 GDPR); - When I request human intervention in processes that are usually automated;
  • The right to have a response from the controller within the legal time limits and the right to know about a personal data breach (Data Breach);
  • You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without compromising the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent previously given, with regard to images already used.
  • Right to Object (Art. 21 GDPR) - If you wish to object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes, including associated profiling.

14. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

LIPOR reserves the right to adjust or revise this policy at any time, and any adjustments or revisions will be published on its institutional website in due course.
